
Signs Your Pet Needs Urgent Care
If you have any reason to suspect your dog or cat could be facing an emergency, we encourage you to bring them in. In addition, there are certain situations and symptoms that should always be evaluated by a veterinarian:
Refusing food and/or water for 24+ hours
Difficulty urinating or defecating
Extreme lethargy or loss of consciousness
Crying out in pain
Uncontrollable bleeding
Injuries sustained in fights with other animals, falls, or car accidents
Complications during pregnancy or delivery
Extreme, unexplained behavioral changes
Seizures
Respiratory distress or choking
Exposure to or ingestion of poisonous or toxic substances
Repeated episodes of vomiting and/or diarrhea
Blood in urine, feces, or vomit
Allergic reactions
